We drove way past Main Street, and on through the suburbs. We passed large, beautiful homes with drive ways a quarter mile long. Still further out we passed fields of beans, and pastures full of horses or cows. The sun was high and hot, not ideal for a 3 month portrait session. But, it would have to do. Finally, I see a few bare fields. Cotton balls dust the rows. These fields are freshly plowed. We drive another mile. Then, there it is. Cotton rolling across acres and acres of land. The noon-time sun beams straight down; the white is blinding. No shade here, so we make the best of it, or at least try. Big brother Ralphie romps in the dirt, and runs down a row, then back, while Simon just sits there in his basket and looks adorable.
It wasn't altogether fruitless, even if I didn't get the pictures I had been dreaming of. I may yet go back... if I can get my to-do list under control first.

Three months with this little guy. We can hardly believe it. He seems much older than 3 months. He is my sunshine on these cold fall mornings. His smiles bring tears to my eyes; the happiness is so contagious. We are thankful.
Lookin' quite a bit like his big brother (at this age) in this picture.
Oh, my heart. He is mine.
Happy 3 months Simon Patrick!
Love,
Mama
